Final Project Proposal

Combine digital and analog art by using vintage travel posters (take 2) from online and transferring them onto metal sheets (tin types). I plan on editing the posters online and making them look old and degraded and then they will be black and white on the tin types. The idea is to get a creepy, but nostalgic image of some utopian past.

I really enjoyed trying to recreate images that the artists might have taken. It allowed me to use black and white more than I had in the past. Friedlander took many self-portraits making him the "hipster" when it came to taking "selfies". This made his photos funny as well as sometimes disturbing. I learned that you have to use what you have around you in different ways than you had originally thought when you have a specific idea in mind.
